Jahiem White has 141 yards rushing and 4 TDs, North Texas beats Rice 52-23

On Saturday, North Texas defeated Rice with a score of 52-24, marking the Mean Green's sixth consecutive win. Jahiem White shone with 141 yards rushing and three touchdowns. Tayven Jackson threw a touchdown pass and contributed with a 6-yard run score. North Texas leads the American Conference, currently with a one-game advantage over Memphis and UTSA.

Rice, however, is on a losing streak, having lost eight games in a row since their season opener victory over Houston Christian. White's second touchdown, a 1-yard run, extended the Mean Green's lead to 24-14 with 4:23 left in the third quarter. Bryce Garza recovered a fumble forced by Zakye Barker at the Rice 31, leading to a 19-yard touchdown pass from Jackson to Dalton Carnes, thereby widening the gap to 17 points.

Jackson completed 18 of 33 passes for 301 yards, while Justin Stevenson added a 5-reception, 117-yard performance. Brendon Haygood sealed the game with a 4-yard rushing touchdown with just 1:55 remaining in the contest. Gael Ochoa contributed a 36-yard touchdown pass to Will Swartz, and Tyvonn Byars scored a 2-yard rushing touchdown.
