Famous News TV Host Shot Dead in Rawalpindi

Rabia Ahsan, a prominent TV anchor for the private network 92 News, was discovered dead from a gunshot wound at her residence in Rawalpindi on Sunday, November 8, 2026, according to police reports. The city's police force took her husband into custody as part of the investigation. Rabia resided in the Gulshanabad neighborhood, close to Adiala Road.

Police officers received information about the shooting and found her lifeless body within the house. Rawalpindi City Police Officer Hassan Mushtaq Sukhera disclosed that investigators retrieved a weapon from the residence. Additionally, Rabia's husband was arrested, and a thorough investigation into the circumstances of her death was launched.

According to initial accounts, Rabia's husband informed the police that he had not intentionally discharged the firearm. He alleged that the gun went off accidentally while he was handling it.
