Cop31, 55 eventi nel Padiglione Italia del ministero dell’Ambiente

Cop31, an event held in Antalya, will feature a Padiglione Italia, a space created by the Ministry of Environment and Energy Security (MASE) with support from the World Bank's Connect4Climate program. The event will take place from November 9 to 20 and will host 55 events involving over 150 participants, including promoters, co-organizers, and partners.

This gathering aims to discuss solutions for turning climate commitments into concrete projects, technologies, and investments, following the Global Climate Action Agenda. The program focuses on implementing commitments, building partnerships, and sharing replicable solutions.

Topics covered at the Padiglione Italia will include energy, industry and transport, adaptation, forests, oceans and biodiversity, agriculture and food systems, cities, infrastructure and water, as well as youth, human development and social issues, finance, technology and innovation. The event will feature 14 institutional meetings, organized by MASE, the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation (AICS), the Carabinieri Forestry, Environmental and Agro-Alimentary Command, and Ispra.

Additionally, there will be 40 events supported by territorial administrations, international organizations, associations, universities, research centers, think tanks, and companies.

Some of the themes that will be discussed at the MASE events include urban adaptation and regeneration, strengthening financial architecture through the Adaptation Accelerator Hub, energy innovation with Mission Innovation, digitization of electricity networks through the 3Den initiative, and sustainable cooling with the Epic Deploy program.

International cooperation will be a central focus, particularly on the Transcaspian Corridor, the partnership between Italy and Small Island Developing States, and the launch of the Clear Fund aimed at strengthening capacity for carbon accounting and regulation. AICS-organized events will highlight how cooperation can contribute to climate resilience through diverse experiences and territories, such as coral reef resilience across Latin America, Africa, and Asia, sustainable water management in Ethiopia, forest protection in Western Balkans, and marine ecosystems and coastal communities between the Mediterranean and the western Indian Ocean.

The program will also showcase regional and local experiences on adaptation and resilience, scientific contributions from universities and research centers, and proposals from civil society. Special attention will be given to youth and climate education, skills for the transition, and participation in building climate policies. Businesses and associations from productive sectors will present solutions for industrial decarbonization, energy system transformation, and climate risk management.
