Baumgardner vs Turhan Showdown Tops MVPW07 Card Sunday on ESPN
With a win, Alycia Baumgardner becomes a two-division champion and sets up a 2027 showdown with Caroline Dubois.
On Sunday night, the Most Valuable Promotions (MVP) card will air on ESPN, featuring four championship fights in Arlington, Texas. The main event pitting Alycia Baumgardner against Elif Nur Turhan, a Turkish fighter, is the highlight of the night. Baumgardner, making her lightweight debut, faces a tough challenge from Turhan, who is known as one of the hardest punchers in women's boxing.
The winner will then compete for the undisputed title against the victor of the upcoming unification match between Caroline Dubois and Stephanie Han.
Additional fights on the card include IBF World Super Flyweight champion Irma Garcia vs. WBA World Super Flyweight champion Nataly Delgado of Panama, a unification bout. In the co-main event, Somali-born Ramla Ali of London will face undefeated Mikiah Kreps of New York for vacant WBO and IBF super bantamweight titles. Meanwhile, Australian WBC World Super Bantamweight champion Skye Nicolson, making her MVP debut, will take on Japan's veteran Miyo Yoshida.
