You are hungry because you are lazy - Tinubu campaign DG, Yari tells Nigerians

Abdulaziz Yari, the Director-General of the All Progressives Congress Presidential Campaign Council, has asserted that many Nigerians are experiencing hunger due to their lack of work ethic. Yari made these remarks on Saturday during an APC presidential campaign rally in Port Harcourt, the capital of Rivers State.

Speaking at the event, Yari emphasized that hunger in Nigeria is not solely caused by the government's shortcomings, but also by the laziness displayed by some Nigerians. He asserted, "You are hungry because you are lazy. If you work hard, you will not be hungry."

Yari argued that numerous Nigerians prefer to remain idle at home, waiting for money to arrive rather than engaging in productive activities. He criticized a growing trend among younger generations who prefer to "press phones" instead of working in the fields or learning a trade.

The former governor of Zamfara State lamented that in the past, people would rise early to work in the fields and return home for a meal in the evening. However, he pointed out that today, many young people opt to avoid hard labor and instead blame the government for their lack of success.
