The US Secret Service has arrested a Venezuelan man near the White House, charging him with threats against President Donald Trump. According to officials, Ronny Yordrix Guanipa Chrinos, a 26-year-old man who entered the US illegally from Venezuela in March 2024, confessed that voices in his head told him to kill the president. Police found three firearms and a large cache of ammunition in his vehicle, which had been reported stolen.
Law enforcement described Chrinos as another individual among several who have been arrested in recent months for threatening Trump or his family members since his inauguration last year. DHS Secretary Markwayne Mullin praised the Secret Service for preventing potential harm, with the White House referring inquiries to DHS and USSS.
