Vijay Deverakonda wraps his arm around Rashmika in latest airport appearance after KWK backlash

Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna were recently photographed at the Mumbai airport, accompanied by members of Vijay’s family. This marks their second airport appearance since their appearance on Koffee With Karan, following which Vijay faced significant backlash over his comments regarding their relationship. The controversy began after an airport sighting shortly after the episode aired, where Vijay was seen walking away from Rashmika.

However, their most recent airport appearance depicted a different scene. Dressed in masks, the couple was seen walking together hand in hand, with Vijay holding Rashmika’s arm as they conversed. As they approached the airport entrance, Vijay’s mother and brother waved at the onlookers outside. Vijay greeted the photographers, while Rashmika continued walking ahead.

Both opted for casual attire during their airport outing. Vijay and Rashmika married in February of the same year after a long-term relationship. They first crossed paths on the sets of Geetha Govindam, and their connection deepened while working together on Dear Comrade. Recently, during their appearance on Koffee With Karan Season 9, the couple discussed their proposal story.

Rashmika revealed that she was the one who proposed to Vijay, who then asked her to repeat the question 100 times, waiting an entire year before responding. Defending his decision on the show, Vijay stated, “I think marriage is a very important decision. I am a person who knows I have put the relationship through every obstacle there is.

In reality, I was testing myself and this relationship.” He further explained, “For me, it was like, let’s see if we feel this continuously through days when you are happy, upset, want to give everything to your career and on days when you want to quit.

Through all of it, if still marriage feels important, then we should.” His comments, however, did not sit well with many viewers, leading to a widespread discussion about the couple’s relationship. Both Vijay and Rashmika have since responded to the criticism, addressing the trolls and those commenting on their relationship.
