Video of Suthra Punjab Workers Dancing to Indian Song Goes Viral

A video of workers from the Suthra Punjab Authority (SPA) dancing to a Bollywood song has gained widespread attention on social media. The scene shows the workers energetically moving to "Speaker Baje" at an otherwise deserted event venue, apparently while filming a TikTok video. An operator played the song, prompting the workers to take to the dance floor instead of cleaning the area.

The exact location of the venue remains a mystery, although a sign on the stage hints that it may have hosted a promotional event for Suthra Punjab. Social media users have criticized the workers' behavior, calling into question their professionalism. This comes at a time of heightened scrutiny over the SPA's performance. Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz recently issued a directive for officials to achieve a 100% improvement in cleanliness across Punjab within 15 days.

She also mandated daily street cleaning and alternate-day village cleaning, along with prompt payment of sanitation workers' salaries. The Anti-Corruption Establishment has launched an investigation into alleged fuel and vehicle rental irregularities at Suthra Punjab offices in Faisalabad, with estimated monthly losses reaching Rs. 17.5 million.
