Wait... 68 carries in one game? Here's how Union County played against Paxon in the SSAA Atlantic League high school football second-round playoffs.
In a thrilling November 6 matchup, Union County's Fightin' Tigers pulled off a 28-21 upset against Paxon in the Sunshine State Athletic Association Atlantic League North semifinal. Head coach Robby Pruitt, a veteran in the coaching world, led his young team, comprised of eighth-graders and juniors/seniors, to their third round of playoffs at No. 1 seed West Nassau on November 13.
Despite injuries to key players and a challenging road game, Pruitt's team demonstrated resilience and determination, focusing on their old-school football approach to secure yet another victory.
