Indira Krishnan, who plays Mata Kaushalya in the film Ramayana, has defended Ranbir Kapoor's casting as Lord Ram. Despite criticism questioning his suitability for the revered role, especially after his intense portrayal in Animal, Indira never doubted his ability to do justice to the character. During a Zoom interview, Indira revealed that she and Saurabh Sachdeva, Ranbir's co-star, were among the few people who closely interacted with him during the transition from Animal to Ramayana.
