Tinubu mocks Obi over Anambra erosion

President Bola Tinubu mocked Peter Obi, the Nigeria Democratic Congress presidential candidate, during a visit to Akwa Ibom State on Friday. According to Daily Trust, Tinubu accused Obi of failing to address the erosion crisis during his tenure as governor of Anambra State, claiming Obi ran away from the issue.

Tinubu contrasted Obi's record with his own actions as governor of Lagos State, stating that he successfully confronted and tamed the Atlantic Ocean at Eko Atlantic City. While attending the inauguration of Arise Palm Resort in Uyo, the President questioned Obi's presidential ambitions, noting that the resort itself was reclaimed from erosion.
