Online bidding for special license plates opens Sunday via Absher
Saudi traffic authorities will launch electronic bidding for special vehicle license plates on Absher from Sunday, allowing users to participate fully online.
The online service for replacing Saudi driving licences has been launched by Absher for residents who previously held such licences. This service, available on the Absher Individuals platform, allows eligible residents to obtain a new driving licence electronically without the need to undergo retraining at driving schools, as long as they meet all the required conditions.
To utilize this service, users must first log in to their Absher account. Once logged in, they should navigate to the "My Services" section, followed by selecting "Traffic". Finally, they must choose the "Replace Previous Saudi Driving Licence for Resident" service.
According to the General Directorate of Traffic, there are specific conditions that must be met in order to be eligible for this licence replacement. Firstly, there should be no prior conviction for drug use, promotion, or possession. Secondly, individuals must not have any medical conditions or disabilities that could hinder their ability to drive.
