Mumbai's commuters might face travel disruptions on Diwali Sunday as Central Railway plans extensive maintenance on both Main and Harbour lines. The mega blocks fall during Narak Chaturdashi and Lakshmi Pujan, potentially causing delays. Central Railway will work between Matunga-Mulund on the Main line and Panvel-Vashi on the Harbour line, but Western Railway will not conduct a mega block, providing some respite to passengers.
The Main Line block will run from 11:05 am to 3:55 pm, diverting slow local trains. The Harbour Line block will run from 11:05 am to 4:05 pm, suspending up services from Panvel to CSMT and down services from CSMT to Panvel and Belapur. Commuters should plan their journeys accordingly.
