Missouri football takes on Texas in a crucial CFP fight on Saturday at Faurot Field in Columbia. The Tigers, currently ranked No. 18, enter the game as underdogs against the Longhorns, ranked No. 7. The outcome of this matchup could have significant implications for Missouri's chances of making the 12-team playoff field. Missouri's head coach, Eli Drinkwitz, realizes the importance of the game and notes that three of the top seven teams in the initial CFP rankings will face Missouri in the next three weeks.
Texas has had an easier path to the playoffs so far, with wins over Ohio State, Ole Miss, and Tennessee contributing to their position.
