Marshals Star Ash Santos Was In Wesley Snipes And Kevin Hart's Netflix Show
You probably know Ash Santos as Andrea Cruz, but a few years ago she shared the screen with Kevin Hart and Wesley Snipes in a very different role on Netflix.
Ash Santos currently stars as Andrea Cruz in the Netflix series "Marshals," but she has been in other projects as well. In 2021, Santos appeared in a limited series titled "True Story," which starred Kevin Hart and Wesley Snipes. The show follows a comedian named Kid (Hart), who gets entangled in a murder case during a tour stop in his hometown. Santos played the role of Daphne, the dead woman that Kid wakes up next to in his bed, leading to a dramatic twist.
During an interview with Schön!, Santos discussed her experience playing Daphne. She described Daphne as "ballsy" and "a loose cannon," stating that it was "the funnest character" she had played so far. Santos explained that she got to "completely suspend herself" as Daphne and enjoyed the challenge of playing such a complex character.
Santos also spoke about working with the show's co-stars, Wesley Snipes and Kevin Hart. She expressed her admiration for their grounded and humble demeanor on set, despite their iconic status. Santos described how Hart remained the same on stage and during filming, while Snipes bowed to her upon introduction. She noted that she had grown up watching Snipes and felt honored by his gesture.
