Indore Diwali Traffic Advisory 2026! Cars, Autos, E-Rickshaws And Heavy Vehicles Restricted In Rajwada, Sarafa And Nearby Markets; Check Diversions And Parking

Indore's traffic police have unveiled a comprehensive traffic management strategy for the upcoming Diwali festivities in Rajwada and nearby markets. This plan aims to ensure seamless flow for both vehicles and pedestrians amidst the bustling shopping season. Key markets such as Rajwada, Sarafa, and adjacent areas like Bartan Bazaar, Aada Bazaar, and Yashwant Road will be covered under this initiative.

To manage congestion effectively, a three-tier diversion system has been established at crucial junctions including Malharganj police station T-junction, Gorakund Square, and Imli Bazaar Square. These diversions will be implemented to regulate the flow of traffic and maintain order. Notably, heavy vehicles, buses, cars, autos, and e-rickshaws will face restrictions in major markets.

Depending on the level of crowd density, two-wheelers may also be subject to restrictions, with priority given to pedestrian movement in areas experiencing heavy congestion.

To accommodate the needs of vehicles, designated parking facilities are available at several locations including Jinsi Haat Ground, Subhash Chowk, Khajuri Bazaar, and Poddar Plaza. For journeys between Regal, the airport, Palasia, Collectorate, and Bada Ganpati, alternative routes will be utilized to avoid congestion in the heart of the city.

The Indore High Court has also directed student unions at various colleges and universities to conduct their elections within 75 days, echoing a previous directive issued for polls across Madhya Pradesh. This traffic advisory, combined with the electoral schedule, underscores the city's commitment to maintaining order and efficiency during the auspicious Diwali season.
