India News Live Updates | Abhishek Banerjee alleges late-night attack by ‘BJP hooligans’

Trinamool Congress General Secretary Abhishek Banerjee alleged on Saturday that members of the Bharatiya Janata Party attacked his residence in the early hours of the morning. In a post on X, Banerjee claimed that the attack occurred after two days of surveillance, and if he could suffer such a fate, the common people of West Bengal would face an even worse situation.

Banerjee further added the footage as evidence of the incident. The Election Commission reopened the enumeration window for electors who were left out of the draft rolls during the Special Intensive Revision in seven states and a Union Territory. The states and Union Territory affected are Delhi, Maharashtra, Haryana, Andhra Pradesh, Jharkhand, Telangana, and Nagaland.
