Illegear Announces Apex Monitors; Available In 25-, 27-Inch Models

Local custom PC brand Illegear has unveiled its new Apex monitors. These monitors are available in two sizes – 24.5 and 27 inches. Both screens are IPS panels with flat designs, built-in speakers, and impressive specifications like high refresh rates, support for Adaptive Sync, and a 1ms response time.

The smaller model, called the Apex 25, features Full HD resolution and can reach a refresh rate of 200 Hz, which is an uncommon ceiling for this specification. It includes essential ports such as HDMI 2.1 and DisplayPort 1.4. Weighing at 3.1kg, the monitor is 75 x 75 mm VESA mount compatible.

In contrast, the larger monitor, the Apex 27 Plus, offers a more advanced setup with a QHD resolution (2,560 x 1,440) and an even higher refresh rate ceiling of 280 Hz. It also features two HDMI 2.1 ports, in addition to the single DisplayPort 1.4. This model comes with an adjustable stand, making it slightly heavier at 4.9kg. Its larger screen size comes with a larger VESA mount pattern of 100 x 100mm.

In terms of pricing, the Apex 25 is available for RM499, while the Apex 27 Plus costs RM899. Both models are now available for pre-order, with general availability expected towards the end of November. Customers who place their orders before 30 November will enjoy a RM100 discount on the original prices, along with a complimentary DisplayPort 1.4 cable.
