Gunners match 2022-23 record! Arsenal equal their best Premier League start after hard-fought win over Hull
Arsenal have equalled their greatest-ever start to a Premier League campaign following a gritty 1-0 victory over Hull City on Saturday. The result ensures Mikel Arteta's side remain the team to beat as they continue their pursuit of consecutive domestic crowns.
Arsenal have matched their best-ever Premier League start following a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Hull City on Saturday. The impressive result, under the guidance of manager Mikel Arteta, puts the Gunners at the top of the league table with a six-point lead. Club captain Martin Odegaard scored the decisive goal in the 72nd minute, capitalizing on a rebound from a non-offside position.
This victory marks Arsenal's 27-point haul from their opening 10 matches, equaling their best start in the 2022-23 season when they narrowly missed out on the title to Manchester City. The match, however, was marred by VAR controversy when Arsenal midfielder Kai Havertz was wrongly flagged for offside during a frenetic first-half incident.
Despite the challenges ahead, including a grueling winter fixture list, Arsenal's home form remains impressive, having won 11 of their last 13 matches at the Emirates Stadium.
