DAP belum bincang pengganti Loke, kata Syahredzan

Naib Pengerusi DAP Syahredzan Johan revealed on Facebook that the party has not discussed a replacement for Loke Siew Fook as Transport Minister. The party leader emphasized that it is inappropriate to speculate about who would replace Loke at the moment, as his appointment has not yet been finalized due to the ongoing move-in process.

The Jemaah Menteri (Council of Ministers) membership is ultimately a prerogative of the Prime Minister, who will make the decision after consulting with the DAP's supreme council, according to Johan. Loke reportedly confirmed his resignation letter, which would take effect as soon as Najib arrives at his residence to serve his house arrest.

The letter of resignation has reportedly already been delivered, and Johan stated that he also discussed the matter with Deputy Prime Minister Zahid Hamidi following a Council of Ministers meeting. Umno announced the cancellation of fines imposed on former president Loke yesterday after successfully raising sufficient funds through a crowdfunding campaign launched in September.

The Kuala Lumpur High Court subsequently issued an order for his release following the recorded payment, but the Attorney-General's Chambers (AGC) issued a statement that the house arrest order should be delayed pending investigation of legal issues related to the pardon order and its potential impact on the court's ruling.
