President Bola Tinubu has challenged former Vice President Atiku Abubakar to provide an explanation on how he financed the construction of his university while he held the position of Vice President. Tinubu accused Atiku of being part of the leadership responsible for Nigeria's economic issues. During the APC presidential campaign rally in Port Harcourt, Tinubu stated that Atiku should answer the question of where he obtained the funds to build the university when he was in charge of the economy.
Tinubu questioned Atiku's moral character, calling him a person lacking the integrity and ethics expected of public office holders.
