Abu Dhabi Police launch campaign to protect families from drugs, cybercrime

Abu Dhabi Police has commenced a month-long community awareness campaign titled 'Family Security is the Foundation of Community Security'. This initiative, organized in collaboration with partners like the Ministry of Education and the Family Development Foundation, aims to bolster family awareness, foster stability, and thwart societal risks.

Major General Mohammed Suhail Al Rashdi, Director of the Criminal Security Sector, highlighted that the campaign underscores Abu Dhabi Police's dedication to proactive community security, with families serving as the first line of defense against children's exposure to societal risks. Colonel Saif Ali Al Jaberi, Director of the Community Police Department, emphasized that the campaign seeks to empower families to identify and address negative behaviors early on, thereby promoting positive values and behaviors.

The campaign will feature lectures, workshops, field visits, community engagement activities, and awareness sessions addressing topics such as drug prevention, digital safety, road safety, and family dialogue. A theatrical production titled 'The Message Has Been Delivered' will also be presented, exploring family challenges through a social narrative.

The campaign will also engage expatriate communities and utilize a comprehensive media plan to disseminate preventive messages across Abu Dhabi.
