The Philadelphia 76ers, currently 8-1 on the season, faced the Cleveland Cavaliers in a crucial Eastern Conference NBA Cup game without center Adam Bona. At the scorer's table, 76ers star Tyrese Maxey attempted to replicate LeBron James' signature chalk toss celebration. The matchup took place at Rocket Arena, where the Cavaliers started strong, leading 33-22 after the first quarter.
Maxey and James combined for just eight points in that quarter, as Cleveland's Donovan 'Spyda' Mitchell scored 10 points. The 76ers, led by Maxey, struggled to contain Mitchell and the Cavaliers throughout the game.
