2027: Amaechi called Atiku a thief, election rigger - Oshiomhole

During a presidential campaign rally in Rivers State, Edo North senator Adams Oshiomhole alleged that Rotimi Amaechi, the running mate for the African Democratic Congress, once referred to Atiku Abubakar as a thief and an election rigger. Oshiomhole, who described Amaechi as both a friend and a bad one, stated that Amaechi became the governor of Rivers State without being on the ballot.

During Buhari's tenure, Amaechi served as the director general of the campaign. When Wike's forces threatened to overtake him, Amaechi made the ill-advised decision to boycott the election. Oshiomhole also noted that Amaechi had called Atiku a rigger in court documents. The senator questioned what incentive Amaechi offered for being named his running mate, suggesting that Amaechi might have been willing to accept anything, even his "vomit," for the position.
