In August, preorders for the translucent green Xbox Series X | X25 Special Edition console sold out quickly, disappointing longtime fans eager to get their hands on this limited-edition 25th-anniversary console. Amazon has now provided an alternative by allowing anyone interested to request an invite to purchase the special edition Xbox.
Interested parties can submit a request via this link. However, receiving an invite does not guarantee a console. Amazon notes, "If invited to purchase, you'll get an email when the item is available. Not all requests will be granted." The Xbox Series X - X25 Limited Edition console is set to release on November 13 and will be priced at $909.23.
Only 25,000 numbered consoles are being manufactured, explaining the scarcity faced by preordering fans. The console is a 1TB Xbox Series X, adorned with a translucent green exterior and an X25 logo on its front. Upon powering it on, the X logo will also glow green. Additionally, buyers will receive a matching controller (available separately) and a digital copy of Halo: Campaign Evolved, a remake of the original game from the first Halo title.
XBOX Wireless Controller X25 Special Edition is already popular among IGN readers, praised for its attractive design commemorating the 25-year anniversary of the original Xbox.
