Federal Capital Territory Minister Nyesom Wike has projected a turnout of at least 70,000 people for President Bola Tinubu's presidential rally in Rivers State. Speaking during an inspection at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium in Port Harcourt, Wike expressed high enthusiasm from the people of Rivers to receive the President. The President had last visited the state in May 2023 when Wike was governor.
Wike noted that Tinubu's visit was significant as it would be his first since taking office in May 2023. While the stadium's capacity is 40,000, Wike expects at least 70,000 attendees to welcome Tinubu and listen to his campaign message. The rally comes ahead of the 2027 general election and provides an opportunity for political candidates to present their platforms to the electorate.
Wike dismissed doubts about achieving the projected turnout, confidently stating that the mobilization efforts and preparations would deliver the expected results.
