A Nigerian man witnessed a foreign national intervene in the illegal sale of a sea turtle near the Eko Hotel in Lagos. The video of the event became viral on Friday, showing the foreigner confronting traders attempting to sell the animal. Despite initially being the only person opposing the sale, the foreigner remained persistent in his efforts to save the turtle.
He paid the traders, not to acquire the turtle, but to ensure its release back into the ocean. With the help of a police van, the turtle was taken to the sea and released into its natural habitat. The Nigerian witness expressed gratitude to the foreigner for taking action to protect the sea turtle. He emphasized the importance of preserving the turtles' natural environment, stating that the ocean is their home.
