Mumbai's Anjuman-I-Islam Allana English School (Fort) edged closer to clinching an unprecedented third consecutive Harris Shield U-16 MSSA cricket title after Umar Khute's blazing 156 ran out the batting of General Education Academy. The 14-year-old right-hander smashed 19 fours and six sixes, sharing a crucial 124-run fifth-wicket partnership with Aarav Yadav.
Khute, who had already scored 67 off 94 deliveries on the opening day, helped Anjuman post a formidable 374 for 9 in their first innings. The defending champions were struggling at 70 for 4 in their second innings, but would need to score 150 more runs in the final 20 overs to deny Anjuman the hat-trick win.
