Ajax's in-form forward Tolu Arokodare scored two goals and provided an assist as the Dutch giants dismantled Danish Superliga leaders FC Midtjylland 6-1. The Super Eagles player, on a season-long loan at Ajax, was on fire during the match, delighting the home fans. Ajax took the lead within the first 10 minutes when Owen Wijndal's cross was deflected into the path of Arokodare, who headed the ball in.
Arokodare continued his impressive run, scoring again in the 27th minute after receiving a pass from Abdellah Ouazane. He maintained the lead with two more goals in the second half, as Klaassen made it 4-1 and Gloukh sealed the win with Ajax's sixth goal in the 82nd minute. The Nigerian striker had already netted four goals in as many games.
Midtjylland's Friday Etim managed to level the score at 1-1 in the 28th minute, but Ajax's dominant performance ensured a miserable evening for their Danish opponents at the MCH Arena in Herning.
