Stranger Things Prequel Spin-Off Other Worlds Ordered At Netflix

Netflix is set to premiere a new prequel series titled "Other Worlds: A Stranger Things Adventure" in 2028. Based on "Stranger Things," this 1950s-set series will be created by the Duffer Brothers and Kate Trefry. Titled as a standalone adventure, it will explore a new dimension of the "Stranger Things" universe set in Marion, Nevada, in 1955.

Titled after a 50s doo-wop tune, the series will feature "all-new characters, themes, and mythology." The series' first three episodes will be directed by Joe Wright, known for "Atonement," "Darkest Hour," and "Pride & Prejudice." Shawn Levy will executive produce the series through his 21 Laps production company, along with Paul Dichter, Shelley Meals, Andrea Sperling, and Pavlina Hatoupis. Matt and Ross Duffer and Kate Trefry will also serve as executive producers.
