Pakistan’s First Locally Assembled Electric SUV – JAECOO J5 BEV Launched at PKR 5,999,000 and PKR 6,699,000

Nishat Group's NexGen Auto has announced the pricing for Pakistan's first electric SUV, the JAECOO J5 BEV. This marks a significant step for the nation's automotive industry. The JAECOO J5 BEV begins at PKR 5,999,000 ex-factory price. It comes in two variants: the Comfort model and the Premium model. The Comfort variant is priced at PKR 5,999,000 with a PKR 1,200,000 booking amount, while the Premium variant is priced at PKR 6,699,000 with a PKR 1,500,000 booking amount.

NexGen Auto, a subsidiary of Nishat Group, manufactures the JAECOO J5 BEV locally. The vehicle is powered by a 49.5 kWh battery pack and offers a driving range of up to 405 km NEDC on a single charge. Both variants share the same battery capacity and range. Customers will also receive a complimentary 11kW home charger and a free spare tyre.

This is the first locally assembled electric SUV for Pakistan, following the success of the JAECOO J5 HEV and JAECOO J7 PHEV which have already reached 15,000 locally assembled units. The introductory pricing is valid until 30th November, 2026.
