The Global AI Festival 2026 concluded in Shenzhen, China on November 5, 2026, after Mirae Asset Securities co-hosted it with Alibaba Cloud. The event gathered 100 university student teams from China and Hong Kong to explore the intersection of finance and artificial intelligence. Organized by Mirae Asset Securities’ Global Management Division, the festival aimed to promote innovation ahead of the upcoming Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation summit in Shenzhen, while also discovering financial ideas from young talent across Greater China.

Out of the 100 teams, 30 competed in the 'AI + Brand' and 'AI + Finance' categories. The top 30 teams enhanced their concepts using Alibaba Cloud’s AI development tool, 'Qoder'. Ultimately, the 'FindAlpha' team from the HSBC Business School of Peking University emerged victorious for proposing 'M-TradingNote', an AI trading journal app. The judges praised the team for its innovative approach of linking investment execution and review in one process.

Second place went to 'Herguard', an inter-university team from Hong Kong, while 'Mirae Lens', a team from New York University Shanghai, secured the third position. 'Herguard' presented a service that condenses Hong Kong IPO investment prospectuses into a single page, and 'Mirae Lens' introduced a service that identifies investment ideas from everyday products. The winning teams collectively earned 170,000 yuan ($23,460) in prize money, along with trophy motifs symbolizing Mirae Asset’s long-term investment philosophy.

Kim Seung-wook, head of Mirae Asset Securities’ Global Management Division, emphasized that financial innovation through AI opens up broader investment opportunities and convenience for customers. He also highlighted that the company will continue to support young talent's challenges and create new customer value.
