MetMalaysia forecasts continuous rain in Kelantan, Terengganu from Sunday to Nov 11

KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 6 — The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has predicted continuous rain in various regions of Kelantan and Terengganu from Sunday until November 11, according to Director-General Mohd Hisham Mohd Anip. The affected areas in Kelantan consist of Tanah Merah, Pasir Mas, Tumpat, Kota Bharu, Machang, Bachok, and Pasir Puteh.

In Terengganu, the forecast of persistent rain includes Besut, Setiu, Kuala Nerus, Kuala Terengganu, Marang, and Hulu Terengganu. Mohd Hisham also stated that heavy rain is expected in Sabah from November 9 to 11, impacting Paitan, Telupid, Labuk, Sugut, Sandakan, and Kinabatangan in the Sandakan division. He explained that a monsoon surge is anticipated to affect the country during this period, potentially causing continuous heavy rain on the east coast of Peninsular Malaysia and eastern Sabah.
