Jaguars’ Trevor Lawrence showered with MVP chants in Baltimore after crushing Ravens

In a stunning display of dominance, the Jacksonville Jaguars showcased their potential as Super Bowl contenders with a 33-10 victory over the Baltimore Ravens in Baltimore on Thursday night. This commanding performance propelled the Jaguars to a 6-2 record, while simultaneously boosting their NFL-leading point differential to an impressive +108 – nearly double the closest competitor, the San Francisco 49ers, who sit at +58.

Despite not posting a stellar statistical day, Trevor Lawrence, the Jaguars' quarterback, did not escape the adoration of the Jaguars faithful. The fans showered him with MVP chants, acknowledging his crucial role in the team's success. Although Lawrence didn't achieve MVP voting status last season, his impressive season so far – with over 4,000 yards passing and 29 touchdowns, with a similar goal for this season – has him on track to be a serious contender.

With a relatively straightforward schedule ahead of them, due to the AFC South's weak performance, the Jaguars could secure the top seed in the AFC. The current MVP race is wide open, leaving Lawrence, Brock Purdy, and Josh Allen in a strong position to make a compelling case for the award. However, it would be premature to speculate on Lawrence's MVP prospects at this stage, as the season still has half its games remaining, and plenty of room for growth and change.
