HEC Announces New MBBS and BDS Admission Procedure

The Higher Education Commission (HEC) has unveiled a new admission procedure for MBBS and BDS programs for the 2026-27 academic session under its scholarship project for Balochistan and erstwhile FATA. Applicants must now apply directly to their chosen medical or dental university. The universities will manage admissions, seat allocations, and placements in alignment with the approved Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PM&DC) allocations and admission rules.

HEC will continue to provide financial assistance to selected candidates through its merit-based scholarship process. However, securing an HEC scholarship does not guarantee admission to an MBBS or BDS program. Students need to independently apply to an eligible medical or dental institution and fulfill all the university's requirements.

Conversely, being admitted to a university does not ensure HEC scholarship funding. Interested students must visit the official admission portal of their preferred medical or dental university for more information.
