Gavi’s agent sends strong message in response to talk of Napoli interest in Barcelona star
Forget about it.
Barcelona midfielder Gavi's agent has firmly stated that the Spanish player has no intention of leaving the Catalan club, despite speculation that Serie A side Napoli might be interested in signing him during the January transfer window. According to Diario Sport, Gavi's agent Ivan de la Pena has been quoted as saying, "I have not negotiated with anyone.
Gavi is staying." The speculation has been fueled by Gavi's limited playing time at Barcelona in the current 2026-27 season. Due to intense competition for spots in the midfield, Gavi has only made eight appearances this season, with the last one being a substitute appearance against Aston Villa midweek. He has played a total of 146 minutes over that span.
However, the emergence of an injury to Barcelona's Rodri could provide Gavi with more opportunities to prove his worth and potentially secure a bigger role within the team this season.
