Eufy's clever outdoor security camera that lives inside is now available to buy
The $80 Window Camera E10 sticks to your window, pointed outwards.
Eufy has introduced an innovative outdoor security camera, the Window Camera E10, that can be installed inside a window. This product is perfect for renters or homeowners who lack the ability to install traditional outdoor cameras due to practical or rental reasons. The E10 is an indoor camera with a lens facing outward, designed to be stuck to a window using a residue-free adhesive. Installation is tool-free, making it a hassle-free option for many users.
The camera boasts a 25-degree manually adjustable downward tilt mechanism, enabling users to set the optimal viewing angle for their specific situation. With a resolution of 2.5k and up to 8x digital zoom, the E10 offers clear and detailed footage. The MaxColor Night Vision feature ensures reliable performance during nighttime recording. Footage is saved to an SD card with a maximum capacity of 256GB, which the user must purchase separately.
One of the standout features of the Window Camera E10 is its ability to record footage even when the window is frosted or patterned, as the lens is flush to the window and minimizes background light reflection. The camera supports dual-band Wi-Fi, allowing for both 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz connections. It also records continuously, and includes AI-based human, pet, and vehicle recognition, all without requiring a subscription for local storage use.
However, there are a few considerations when using the E10. It requires a USB-C cable for power, so users need to ensure they have a power source near their window. Battery-powered options are not available. Additionally, the camera is best suited for clear glass windows with either one or two panes. Thick glass, lamps near the window, or frosted/patterned glass may result in glare or reduced effectiveness.
Lastly, the Window Camera E10 is not recommended for apartments on high floors, as it may experience significant blind spots in the frame. Priced at $80, the Eufy Window Camera E10 is now available for purchase.
