Chelsea manager Xabi Alonso has announced that midfielders Jorrel Hato, Maxence Lacroix, and Joao Pedro will miss Sunday's Premier League match against Sunderland. The trio are undergoing assessments during the international break as they recover from injuries. Hato is still weeks away from returning to action. Goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez could be back in the squad after recovering from a jaw injury that required surgery.
He has resumed training and is expected to make a final decision on his availability after Saturday's session. Midfielder Moises Caicedo, who missed training due to discomfort, is also in the assessment process. Alonso hopes to have Martinez and Caicedo available for the match, hoping to secure another Premier League victory for Chelsea.
