Israel DMW, the personal logistics manager to Afrobeats singer Davido, has refuted allegations that the singer was involved in controversies surrounding Naira Marley and VeryDarkMan following the death of late singer Mohbad. Israel clarified that Davido had no involvement in any alleged plot to have VeryDarkMan arrested over his campaign for justice for Mohbad, and that members of Davido's crew who participated in a WhatsApp group linked to the controversy did so without Davido's knowledge or approval.
He made these statements in a post on his Instagram account, responding to the fallout between Davido and VeryDarkMan over the activist's allegations about the singer's associates. Israel also dismissed claims that Davido had attempted to acquire Mohbad's music catalogue or sign Marlian Music artiste Zinoleesky, stating that such claims were false.
He further noted that Davido resisted pressure to unfollow Naira Marley on Instagram and that the two had remained on good terms, having even collaborated on a song. Israel also addressed an alleged altercation at Naira Marley's residence, denying claims that anyone was beaten or attacked during the incident.
