Atomicwork launches certified AI coworker marketplace for enterprise IT and security

Atomicwork Inc., an information technology service management startup, has introduced a marketplace featuring prebuilt, certified AI coworkers designed to assist enterprise IT and security teams. These agentic AI coworkers are capable of collaborating with employees and have been verified for roles encompassing cloud infrastructure, access management, security, and device operations.

Atomicwork CEO and co-founder Vijay Rayapati explained that while many AI-native ITSM vendors have agents, they lack verified effectiveness, causing enterprises to remain skeptical of such claims. Atomicwork's solution addresses this issue by providing AI coworkers that have been tested and fine-tuned using real-world enterprise use cases, enabling organizations to deploy AI workers more rapidly.

The initial lineup of AI coworkers consists of an enterprise operations AI coworker, a CloudOps engineer, an AccessOps manager, a SecOps manager, and a DeviceOps manager. These AI coworkers can operate across various enterprise systems, including AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform, Okta, Active Directory, Splunk, and Google SecOps.

Each AI Coworker comes equipped with the necessary skills and integrations to perform its designated role, thereby minimizing IT teams' efforts in wiring up systems and validating procedures. The AI coworkers can be customized to align with internal infrastructure, company culture, specialized expertise, and business logic, allowing them to swiftly generate and address recurring operational tasks under the supervision of IT and security teams.

Administrators maintain full control over agent management, determining which systems an agent can access, the actions it can perform, and the governance of those actions. Atomicwork's certification process ensures that each AI Coworker possesses the required integrations and skill coverage for its assigned role before deployment.

The company highlights that customers utilizing access automation have observed improved efficiency, with applications that do not require approval experiencing a median turnaround time of approximately 18 seconds, while those requiring approval take around 2.5 hours. In comparison, the industry standard can vary significantly, influenced by business maturity and the risk associated with the application's use, taking between one full day and three business days depending on the level of automation.

Atomicwork envisions this marketplace as the start of a broader ecosystem for enterprise AI Coworkers, which will be built and certified by Atomicwork. Third-party contributors will also be able to add skills and integrations via the Model Context Protocol store and skill registry, enhancing the capabilities of these AI Coworkers.

Rayapati stated that this launch marks the inaugural phase of a third-party AI Coworker marketplace, where partners can publish and certify their own AI Coworkers against Atomicwork's enterprise standards.
