2027: Join Peter Obi, chase APC out - Isaac Fayose begs Atiku after court ruling

Isaac Fayose, younger brother of the late Ekiti State Governor Ayodele Fayose, has implored the African Democratic Congress, ADC, presidential aspirant Atiku Abubakar to unite with Peter Obi in an effort to remove the ruling party from power. Fayose conveyed his request through a video he shared on his official Facebook page on Thursday.

This appeal came in the wake of a court decision by the Federal High Court in Abuja, presided over by Justice Peter Lifu. The court's ruling on Thursday annulled the leadership of David Mark-led ADC and invalidated the process that nominated former Vice President Atiku Abubakar as the party's candidate for the 2027 general elections.

In the video, Fayose urged Atiku to carefully examine the judgment. He stated that Atiku would notice something amiss upon reviewing the judgment. Fayose also expressed his concern over the independence of the judiciary and the current interests of the younger generation, which he believes are more focused on online controversies.

He then urged Atiku to join forces with Peter Obi in the Nigeria Democratic Congress, NDC, to strive for the removal of the All Progressives Congress (APC) from power.
