Woman Accusing Petro of Trading Contracts for Sex Posts Intimate Video

Deicy Jimenez, who alleges former Colombian President Gustavo Petro traded contracts for sexual favors, posted a 55-second video on Instagram Wednesday night. The video, which features Jimenez and Petro in a private setting, aims to prove the existence of a relationship between them amid ongoing investigations. In the footage, Petro can be seen wearing a gray shirt and jacket, engaging in conversation and eventually kissing her.

However, the authenticity of the video has not been verified by independent forensic experts. The source of the video and the circumstances of its acquisition remain unclear. If the allegations are true, they would provide the first direct evidence of a physical encounter between the two. The scandal stems from Jimenez's claims that she met Petro in 2019 through an adult platform and that he allegedly exchanged public contracts for sexual favors and silence.

She also alleges involvement in a network of 30-40 women who benefited similarly. While Jimenez has provided evidence of her professional ties to the government through seven contracts, these contracts do not automatically establish a corrupt relationship. The Prosecutor's Office and the Inspector General's Office have launched investigations into the allegations, with the Special Investigations Chamber of the Supreme Court of Justice hearing testimony from Jimenez. So far, Petro has denied the allegations, arguing they are part of a political campaign.
