Virat Kohli is available, I want him to play Vijay Hazare: Delhi coach Dahiya

Delhi head coach Vijay Dahiya has expressed his desire to have Virat Kohli in the team for the upcoming Vijay Hazare Trophy, which starts on December 14. Dahiya believes that Kohli's work ethic and dedication to the game make him an ideal candidate for the Delhi roster. "If he wants to play, I would love to have him in the dressing room!

I will chew his brains out to tell these guys about hard work, work ethic, and what it takes to reach where he is today," Dahiya told reporters at the Air Force Complex Ground in Palam. Although Kohli has not formally announced his availability, Dahiya is confident that he is an option for Delhi. "He is available. Somebody who played last year is always available; he doesn't need to formally declare it.

His work ethic is tremendous — I want him to be part of this team," Dahiya said. Kohli's mentorship could prove to be invaluable for Delhi's players, especially in white-ball cricket. Dahiya recounted an interaction with opener Priyansh Arya, who inquired about how Kohli would have handled a recent batting situation. Dahiya highlighted that Kohli's development over the years provides a blueprint for young players to follow.
