UPERFECT GR14BU portable monitor review: A 120 Hz 3K OLED touch display at a killer price
With a 3K OLED panel and a 120 Hz refresh rate, the GR14BU comes out swinging.
The UPERFECT GR14BU is a 14-inch portable monitor that stands out from other competitors with its powerful OLED panel featuring a dense 2880 × 1800 (3K) resolution and a fast 120 Hz refresh rate. The monitor supports touch input in Windows 11 and boasts a sleek design with a black aluminum frame and glossy glass screen, though its tiny integrated kickstand limits it to landscape mode.
The GR14BU also includes a variety of cables and adapters, although the price tag of under $300 is significantly higher than that of a standard 14-inch IPS monitor. The display performance of the GR14BU showcases a pixel-dense panel with a 120 Hz refresh rate and multi-touch support. The manufacturer claims a maximum brightness of 500 nits, although Tom's Hardware measured a maximum of 368.6 nits when connected to a power source.
The monitor's color performance is comparable to other OLED displays, with DCI-P3 coverage of 132.2 percent and sRGB coverage of 186.6 percent. In real-world scenarios, the GR14BU delivers sufficient brightness for use in well-lit environments and can overcome reflections during outdoor use. Its vibrant colors and impeccable black levels enhance productivity tasks, although the lack of portrait mode support is a notable drawback.
