Camp Snap has unveiled the CS-8 Mini, a compact version of its lo-fi digital video camera, designed specifically for young hands. This mini camcorder retains the same functionality as the original but reduced in size and weight, weighing just 262g. It features a screen-free design, with videos only viewable after downloading from the pre-installed 4GB card.
The CS-8 Mini boasts five digital filters, including Standard, Vintage 1 and 2, Analog, and Black & White, to give videos a nostalgic appearance. The camera's 1/2.7-inch sensor shoots video at 2.7K resolution and 24p or 18p frame rate, with audio captured by built-in microphones. Four aspect ratio options are available – vertical, horizontal, square, and 4:3.
The CS-8 Mini is available in four vibrant colors and comes with indicator dials for battery and memory. After testing the original CS-8, the reviewer found the camera's simplicity and fun factor to be its biggest strengths, making it an excellent gift for kids. Priced at $149.99, the CS-8 Mini is available for purchase directly from Camp Snap and at Target in the US.
