The Houston Texans have left the door open for trade talks regarding their wide receiver Nico Collins. According to Jonathan M. Alexander of the Houston Chronicle, Collins' stock and demand may peak in the next offseason, potentially prompting GM Nick Caserio to consider offers before deciding on an extension. However, Alexander believes it is highly unlikely that the Texans would trade Collins to the Kansas City Chiefs, with whom they view as an obstacle to reaching a Super Bowl.
Collins has been injury-prone throughout his career but is currently healthy. The Texans have bolstered their wide receiver room through various trades since drafting Collins in 2019, and their decision on fifth-year option eligibility for starting QB Deshaun Watson will impact his future as well.
