Talanta: Bayern versus Ajax regular tickets to cost Sh2,500

Tickets for the highly anticipated football match between Bayern Munich and AFC Ajax will become available on November 5, starting at Sh2,500. Sports Cabinet Secretary Salim Mvurya announced the exclusive online sales through the official Talanta Sports City website. The January 5, 2027, match will mark the inauguration of the Raila Odinga International Stadium at Talanta Sports City, a significant milestone in Kenya's sports infrastructure development.

Mvurya urged fans to purchase tickets only through official channels to avoid scams, warning that sold-out categories would not be available during later sales. Luxury skyboxes and premium hospitality packages will also be offered, promising exclusive matchday experiences. Enquiries will be handled via a dedicated hospitality platform.

Organizers are finalizing preparations, including a 12-hour fan festival, international entertainment, and dedicated concierge services. The event will be funded primarily by private-sector support, reflecting Kenya's growing sports industry appeal. Both clubs have pledged to field their strongest teams, clarifying it will not be a legends' match or academy exhibition.

President William Ruto hailed the fixture as a historic step towards Kenya becoming a leading international sports destination, while the AFCON 2027 Local Organising Committee will oversee preparations for the Africa Cup of Nations alongside government and private partners.
