Freedom Experience 2.0, hosted by Saved2Save International, is set to showcase the detrimental effects of compulsive habits like scrolling, gambling, pornography, and substance misuse on young individuals in Lagos. Titled "Unplugged: The Comeback of a Generation," this faith-based nonprofit's flagship event aims to foster honest conversations and provide practical support for those grappling with addiction, shame, and destructive habits.
David Edozie Onochie will lead the event, featuring Apostle Emmanuel Iren as the Special Guest of Honour and Keynote Speaker. Attendees can look forward to a lineup of speakers including Frank Ikemefune, Kachi Offiah, Pastor Joshua Kesena, Maryam Ejeh, Pastor Jerry Oputa, PlaywithTomide, Anastasia Okorie, and Dr Foy, who will discuss the challenges people face in private, the pressures impacting identity, and practical steps towards recovery.
Visitors can expect workshops on harmful habits, stories of transformation, worship, mentorship sessions, interactive games, and opportunities to connect with a supportive community. The venue will be decorated with a "before smartphones and social media" theme to emphasize the "Unplugged" concept. Four rehabilitation partners will be present to facilitate professional assessments and guide participants towards appropriate care.
The event is voluntary, and participants can seek support discreetly without the need to disclose their struggles publicly. Saved2Save International's Addiction Recovery Team will manage inquiries, referrals, admissions, and follow-ups, explaining program costs and sponsorship options for extended rehabilitation. Regardless of religious beliefs, attendees are welcome to receive guidance and support at this event.
To participate, registration can be completed at www.freedomexperience.online. The aim is to provide a foundation for ongoing support that extends beyond the conference, inspiring attendees to disconnect, renew their minds, and live differently.
