Apple's new AI-powered Intelligent Assistant feature for Logic Pro for Mac requires an Apple Creator Studio subscription, according to the latest release notes for version 13.0. The subscription costs $12.99 per month or $129 per year, meaning users who paid a one-time purchase price of $199.99 will not have access to this feature.
The assistant aims to assist creators by streamlining production workflows, allowing them to create new songs, set up vocal tracks with a single prompt, or refine active projects. However, the assistant is currently only available in U.S. English and requires a Mac with Apple silicon running macOS 27 or later. Customers have expressed disappointment over the subscription requirement, stating they were not aware of this detail in Apple's previous announcement regarding the feature.
