Ogun monarch confers chieftaincy titles on Adebutu, Iyabo Obasanjo

Ahead of the 2027 general elections in Ogun State, traditional leader Oba Adedapo Tejuoso has bestowed traditional titles upon key figures within the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). These honors include installing PDP gubernatorial candidate Oladipupo Adebutu as Lisa Aje of Oke-Ona Egba and his wife, Adenike Omolola Adebutu, as Yeye Lisa Aje.

Other party leaders honored included Senator Iyabo Obasanjo, Dr Abayomi Tella, Alhaja Lateefat Sowunmi-Kolapo, Arch. Dele Olaleye, Ambassador Folake Marcus-Bello, and Chief Abiodun Ogunremi. Oba Tejuoso emphasized that these titles are more than mere ceremonies; they are given to individuals whose character has earned the trust of the traditional institution.

Adebutu described the honor as a call to serve with greater responsibility. The installation ceremony took place at the monarch's palace in Sapon, Abeokuta, amid intensified political activities in the state as both major parties seek to reclaim Ogun from the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
